The Perfect Ribeye Steak

 1 lb ribeye steak
 kosher salt
 black pepper
 additional seasoning (i.e. cayenne pepper, oregano, garlic powder)

Step 1
Salt the ribeye steaks 30-45 minutes ahead of time with coarse kosher salt. Then, preheat the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2
Line the bottom of a roasting pan with foil and grease with nonstick spray.

Step 3
Once 30 minutes has passed, season both sides of steak with black pepper and your choice of seasoning. Place the steak on the roasting pan and put in the oven.

Step 4
After 5 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325 F. For a 1 1/2-inch-thick rib-eye steaks, expect about 12 minutes for medium rare and 15 minutes for medium.

Step 5
Remove pan from oven and let steak rest for 10 minutes. Serve with your favorite side.
